The Hives, a Swedish rock band, have officially announced that their latest album, The Hives Forever Forever The Hives, will be released on Play It Again Sam on August 29. Along with the release of the album, the trio also announced their 2025 world tour schedule and dropped their exciting new single, “Enough Is Enough.” The song can be streamed below.

The album, which was co-produced by Mike D of the Beastie Boys and Pelle Gunnerfeldt, features 13 tracks recorded in Stockholm at two legendary studios. Riksmixningsverket, which belongs to ABBA’s Benny Andersson, was one of the recording studios, and the other is a renowned creative space utilized by Yung Lean and the YEAR0001 label. Contributing to the album’s mystery, Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme also lent his hand in an unspecified capacity.

The initial single, “Enough Is Enough,” is a high-energy hit with lyrics that speak to today’s troubled times: “Everyone’s a little fuckin’ bitch/ And I am getting sick and tired of it/ Went to the doctor/ Cause I was sick/ Sick of everybody’s bullshit.” The music video, which was directed by Eik Kockum, is as intense as the song.

The Hives set off on their world tour on April 12th in New York City, visiting major North American destinations such as Austin, Los Angeles, and Vancouver before journeying to Europe, the UK, and Australia. The entire tour itinerary can be seen below.

Fans may purchase tickets during an exclusive artist pre-sale by pre-ordering the album beginning Tuesday, April 8th, at 10:00 a.m. local time. There will be a Live Nation pre-sale on April 9th at the same time, with the code DANCE. General tickets will go on sale on Friday, April 11th, at Ticketmaster.

The Hives returned after over a decade with the release of their last album, The Death of Randy Fitzsimmons, in 2023. With the same explosive energy and unapologetic attitude for which they are well known, the band is ready to continue their tradition with The Hives Forever Forever The Hives.
