Thrash metal titans Slayer are gearing up for a historic return to the UK stage, and this summer their electrifying presence will be felt in Cardiff. On July 3, the legendary American band—famous for their aggressive, high-speed sound—will return to the UK for the first time in six years at Blackweir Fields.

This eagerly-awaited outdoor concert is one of a sizzling run of shows at the new city-centre arena, which also features Kings of Leon and Alanis Morissette. Adding to the fun, Slayer will be playing key support for Black Sabbath’s milestone farewell show at Villa Park later in July.

Concert organizer Nick Saunders was clearly thrilled with the event, having said, “Getting Slayer to Cardiff and along with this amazing bill of special guests and supporting acts, is going to make for a monster night at Blackweir, and we can’t wait to hear them all well and truly make the city rock.”

Fans visiting the Cardiff event can look forward to a night to remember with pounding riffs and pounding beats, as Slayer is supported by metal legends Anthrax and upstart Danish metal band Neckbreakker. With a lineup this strong, the show is set to be a top summer music event for rock and metal fans.

Slayer’s previous tour in 2019 was thought to be their last run, so this comeback is even more important to die-hard fans of the group. Their legacy in the world of thrash metal is not something that can be denied, and their performance in Cardiff will be nothing but an auditory spectacle.

Cardiff will experience a night of pure metal madness with legendary bands and an energetic atmosphere. The city will surely shake with Slayer’s legendary sound when they perform, so fans better get ready.
