Kelly Clarkson recently hit a huge career milestone, but there was a unexpected sadness to the moment.
The singer and talk show host became noticeably upset as she spoke to her audience in honor of the 1000th episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. She provided a very personal reflection along with her sincere gratitude to her viewers and fans.
The Because of You singer acknowledged that she has endured “a lot of ups and downs personally” and then added a cryptic remark that left many wondering about its meaning.
“I’ve lost, alone, a lot,” she stated, without elaborating on what exactly she was referring to.

Over the past few years, Clarkson’s life has undergone major changes. Since launching her daytime talk show in September 2019, she has faced significant personal challenges. In June 2020, she announced her separation from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock after seven years of marriage. The couple, who share two children, finalized their divorce in 2022.
Clarkson ended on a positive note by reassuring her audience in spite of the emotional burden of her words. “It’s okay,” she reassured them, and she thanked them for their unwavering support.
Her genuine message, however, comes on the heels of a high-profile two-week absence from the program for what was described as a “personal matter.” Now, everybody is wondering whether her recent statements hint at something more serious.
